Meeting with Media about the Safety of Street Children

Representatives of partner organizations -  Corrine Vibert, representative of the Eastern Alliance for Safe and Sustainable Transport – EASST and Monalisa Adagar, representative of  FIA Foundation, who visited Georgia within the project “The Safety of Street Children on Georgian Roads” with representatives of the foundation “Partnership for Road Safety” met the media. The meeting was held at the office of "City Kvira", where the representatives of the foundation and foreign Partners discussed the current events and future plans within the project “The Safety of Street Children on Georgian Roads”, as they said in the world today, more than 1000 children die and millions of them injure in traffic accidents. About 90 percent of these traffic accidents occur in developing countries, such as Georgia. The Third and Eleventh Goals, approved by the United Nations in 2015, are directly related to road safety, there are recommendations to governments. The governments themselves have to take into account the goals and objectives set out by the United Nations.
