Founder of the foundation about intercity transportation
Gela Kvashilava, the founder of the "Partnership Road Safety" Foundation, was the guest of the program “Skhva Shuadghe” on TV Rustavi 2. One of the main topics of the program was intercity transportation. Gela Kvashilava pointed out that the station system is not regulated - there are no passengers waiting and the driver's resting spaces; the driver's qualification and health are not checked; vehicles do not satisfy safety standards. This is added to speeding, safety belt useing and other problems, and unfortunately we often go to fatal outcomes. In order to improve the situation, it is necessary to eliminate the shortcomings of legislation related to intecity transportation, and the mechanism of enforcement should be more effective.
