Meeting of the NGOs Working on Road Safety and Public Transport Issues

On January 16, at the office of the foundation “Partnership for Road Safety” the meeting of the NGOs, which are working on the road safety and public transport issues, and the representatives of private companies and Tbilisi City Hall was held.

At the meeting, the following tasks were discussed: public transport problems, pedestrians’ safety, “zebra” crossings, underground crossings, parking, pavements, traffic jam during rush hour, etc. The attendees of the meeting agreed to work with Tbilisi City Hall on the pedestrians’ safety and “zebra” crossings problem improvement.

At the same time, the participants of the meeting prepared the initiative for Tbilisi City Hall to create the working groups in order to develop and improve the traffic jams, parking and public transport issues, where all the interested groups and organizations will be involved.
