The Interim Result Presentation of the Research “Safe Movement Possibilities for Passengers”
On September 30, the foundation “Partnership for Road Safety” and “CRRC – Georgia” presented the interim results of joint research “Safe Movement Possibilities for Passengers”. The meeting was attended by the representatives of government, non-government organizations, private sector and media.
The representatives of the foundation “Partnership for Road Safety” and “CRRC – Georgia” made two reports, such as 1) intercity movement in Georgia: drivers’, station administration’s and passengers’ views; 2) intercity movement in Georgia: institutional and legal analysis. The representatives of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development talked about the road safety strategy in Georgia.
The research aims to study the intercity transport legal bases in Georgia, government functions and obligations, to define the interested parts and to work out the relevant recommendations in order to improve the system. The research is financed by USAID, ACCESS project of East West Management Institute.
