Campaign “Don’t Create Danger, Keep the Traffic Rules” in Sagarejo

On May 7, the presentation of the campaign “Don’t Create Danger, Keep the Traffic Rules” was held in Sagarejo. The campaign is implemented by the foundation “Partnership for Road Safety” within the project “Awareness and Education Campaigns on Road Safety in Kakheti Region”.

At the meeting, Gela Kvashilava, the chairman of the foundation, talked  about the project tasks and planned activities of the project; he reviewed the road safety problems, risk-factors on the road; how improved and renewed infrastructure will contribute to the creation of safe environment in the region of Kakheti. Mr. Gela called the local population for their engagement. The event was attended by the local patrol police representatives, teachers, high school pupils, representatives of non-governmental organizations and media.  

The project is implemented by the foundation “Partnership for Road Safety” with the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure and Roads Department of Georgia. The Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia has been implementing the regional road development project with the financial help of World Bank since 2009; and the foundation will organize the educational campaign in order to increase the road safety awareness and to decrease the risks of road accidents.
