European Road Safety Day

October 13 is a European Road Safety Day which was celebrated by the Partnership for Road Safety Foundation together with Delegation of European Union in Georgia. The event held under the patronage of First Lady of Georgia, Sandra Elisabeth Roelofs was opened by Mr. Per Ecklund, head of EU Delegation in Georgia. He widely reviewed the issue of road safety, its current problems and importance in Georgia.

The Celebration event was attended by Rusudan Kervalishvili, vice-speaker of the Georgian Parliament.  She talked about the new legislative initiative on making usage of safety belts compulsory on all types of roads. Like she said, the law will enter the Georgian reality in the nearest future.

The second part of the meeting was dedicated to the presentation of the new film Dangerous Game, exhibition of Irakli Gedenidze\'s photos, personal photographer of the Georgian President and exposition of hand-made things of children from Momavlis Sakhli (Home of Future).
