Global Meeting in Morocco

On March 12, 13 and 14, 2015 in Morocco hosted the meeting of NGOs from around the world, organized by the Global Alliance of NGOs on road safety.  The foundation “Partnership for Road Safety” also took part in the meeting, as a member of the Global Alliance. 

The meeting was attended by the road safety professionals from 51 countries, high-ranking guest speakers, Morocco Minister of Transport, representatives of government agencies and NGOs for Road Safety host country - Morocco.

During the workshops, participants shared best experience in promoting and implementing programs to ensure road safety. Discussed the need to develop guidelines for co-operation with partners such ambiguous, as the alcohol industry.

There was also an exhibition of posters - works 130 members of the Alliance. Among them was the foundation “Partnership for Road Safety”, which presented the implemented projects and campaigns with the photo exhibition to the representatives of the international and local, government and non-government organizations.

This meeting is an important step in the planning and preparation of NGOs for the Third Road Safety Week UN and its official campaign #SaveKidsLives.

The meeting resulted in the pre-adoption of the Marrakesh declaration calling for joint efforts to promote road safety.
