Road Safety Education for Disadvantaged Youth from Abkhazia
On the 17th of
October, the cognitive-educational event for the Disadvantaged Youth from
Abkhazia was conducted with the joint work of the foundation "Partnership for
Road Safety" and Ministry of Education and Culture of Abkhazia. The event was attended by Florian
Gubler, Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of Switzerland in Georgia, Vakhtang
Kolbaia, the Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia,
Dimitri Jaiani, Minister of Ministry of Education and Culture of Abkhazia, deputy ministers, and other
officials.
The second public school children
of Abkhazia attended the road safety lesson, they watched the
movie about road
safety rules, received the books and other educational materials. Deputy Head
of Mission (Embassy of Switzerland in Georgia) Florian Gubler gave the
souvenirs to the children. Within the event, 50 trees were planted, where the "Abkhazian Square" will be established.
The
event was organized within the project "Road Safety Education for Disadvantaged
Youth from Abkhazia and South Ossetia", which is being implemented by the
foundation "Partnership for Road Safety" in the cooperation with the Embassy of
Switzerland in Georgia and Ministry of Education and Culture of Abkhazia.
