Foundation for Democracy with the financial support of European Union.
Mr. Irakli Izoria met the MPs of
Parliament of the UK; he introduced the vision and plans of the foundation "Partnership
for Road Safety". Izoria presented the results and main conclusions of the
research "Influence of Prohibiting for Children under the Age of 12 to occupy
the Front Seat on the Number of Deaths and Injuries", which was conducted 4 months ago by the
foundation. The director of the foundation "Partnership for Road Safety" discussed
the future legislation changes for the Law of Georgia on Road Safety with the
Georgian and British MPs.
The
main goal of the program "Develop the Dialogue on the Public Policy between
Non-Governmental Sector and Parliament of Georgia" is to give the possibility to
the non-governmental organizations to plan and implement the advocacy and
communication activities appropriately. The foundation actively works on the
children’s road safety, in particular on the law changes about forbidding children
to sit in the front seat of a car and use a child restraint seat.
