Campaign “Clean Air for Georgian Cities” in Kobuleti

On July 14, the presentation about the project “Clean Air for Georgian Cities” was held by the foundation “Partnership for Road Safety” with the help of the association “Deserving Old Age” and local youth association. Mikheil Papunaishvili, Head of Transport Monitoring Department of Kobuleti, attended the event.

During the meeting, the following issues were discussed, such as air quality problems, air pollution, parking, public transport problems, possibilities of developing the bike riding – as a transport, and public engagement for solving the problems. After the meeting, the representatives of the foundation “Partnership for Road Safety” and the association “Deserving Old Age” met members of Parliament of Georgia and local government. During the meeting, the task of clean and safety public transport, and air pollution in Kobuleti was discussed. In addition, the air-monitoring sensor was installed at the office of the association “Deserving Old Age”, which gives the information about air pollution and measures the level of air quality in Kobuleti. Information booklets and note-books, which were prepared by the foundation “Partnership for Road Safety”, were distributed among the participants, and local citizens and tourists in the streets.

The project is being realized by the foundation “Partnership for Road Safety” and partner organizations “Elva” and “Eco Vision”.
