“Ecopolice” for “Ecofriendly” Cars

With the non-governmental organizations, the insurance company “GPI Holding” starts ecocampaign. For this purpose, the “ecomovement” was created that aims to inform the society with the air pollution problems.

71% of the air pollution in Georgia is caused by the exhaust smoke of cars and old autopark. “The main reason of old vehicles is the economic conditions of the country. However, the special strategy is created for the developing countries, which is directed to the problem solution. The strategy is very successful for the countries like Georgia”, said Gela Kvashilava, the chairman of the foundation “Patrnerhsip for Road Safety”.

It is worth to say that the campaign is actively using the air pollution data that accumulated within the project “Clean Air for Georgia” and the web-page www.haeri.ge and Global Fuel Efficiency Initiative (GFEI).

In order to define the level of a car’s “ecofriendship”, an owner has to fill in the data of the car; if the car is “ecpfriendly”, you will be awarded with the 20% discount of car insurance from GPI and you will get the chance to win different valued presents.
