Workshop on Road Safety in Georgia

On December 21, 2007 the Ministry of Economic Development and the World Bank jointly conducted a workshop on Road Safety in Georgia. There were invited participants from the governmental, non- governmental and private sector organisations. Workshop aimed to reveal problems in road safety and give recommendations eleborated by SweRoad.

Ekaterine Laliashvili, Deputy Director of the Partnership made a presentation of the Seat Belt project funded by FIA Foundation, which received a support from the stakeholders. The Partnership plans a round-table in the Parliament of Georgia,which will address road safety and particularly seat belt issues.
