On 24th October

institutions, civil society and the media gathered to discuss the results of the UN
MY World survey in Georgia which consulted over 3,000 people in the
country.
Following the
UN General Assembly meeting in New York on 25th September 2013, Georgia launched a

across the Georgia opened their doors to representatives from the Youth
Parliament of Georgia to answer questions about MY World and encouraged
participation in the survey via the website MY World in Georgia.

Resident coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative in Georgia, David
Usupashvili, Chair of the Parliament of Georgia, Vladimer Papava, Rector of
Tbilisi State University, and representatives of the Georgian government, civil
organizations met to discuss initial results of survey.
The results showed that road safety came in at fourth on the list of
priorities, after education, employment and health care. EASST’s
Georgian partner, the Partnership for Road Safety, emphasized the importance of
road safety and improved transportation in order to provide better access to
education and health care. The Foundation is planning to hold a series of
presentations about MY World in Georgian Universities and local communities in
coming weeks to encourage voting for road safety as a priority.
