Road Safety Seminar
On
the 25th of February, the road safety seminar was opened at the hotel "Sheraton
Metechi Palace". The seminar is arranged by the joint work of the foundation "Partnership for Road Safety" and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands
in Georgia. The seminar was opened by Hans Horbach, ambassador of the Kingdom
of the Netherlands in Georgia and David Narmania, the minister of the Regional
Development and Infrastructure of Georgia.
The
goal of the meeting was to share experience and discuss the issue of development
roads and traffic safety in Georgia. The experts from Netherlands have arrived
to Georgia for participating in the seminar.
On the seminar, the presentations were made by the Deputy of Minister of
Economic and Sustainable Development Natia Miqeladze, Deputy Chairman of Roads
Department Nugzar Gasviani, the Deputy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs
Levan Izoria, the road safety and infrastructure expert of Netherlands Hans
Godthelp and the Professor Fred Wegman.
The
representatives of the leading Dutch companies discussed the various aspects
of road safety, road safety rules, management, software and mobility
measurement systems.
At the end of the seminar, the exhibition "From A to B" dedicated to road safety was opened at the House of Europe.
