Presentation of "Friendly Roads" at the Georgian Technical University
On the 14th of November, the project "Friendly Roads" was presented to the students at the Georgian
Technical University. The students of the Faculty of Transportation and
Mechanical Engineering got interested in the road safety and the project "Friendly Roads". They discussed the road safety issues and offered their views
to improve the road safety problems in Georgia.
The
chairman of the foundation "Partnership for Road Safety" Gela Kvashilava and the
director Irakli Izoria talked about the importance of the innovative project,
which is being implemented in the whole Georgia. The main goal of the project
is to improve the road safety and decreases the deaths and injuries. The project
considers creating the web-portal, which is defined for uploading videos,
photos and information about danger places on the street, such as road
incident, lack of traffic sings, and bad road infrastructure, etc. All the
information will be displayed on the online map in the automated regime, which
is available for everyone.
The
project is being realized by the foundation "Partnership for Road Safety" and
partner organization "Elva".
