On June 9, the founder of the foundation “Partnership for Road
Safety” Gela Kvashilava and Head of Transport Department of Tbilisi City Hall
Giorgi Gurgenidze were invited to the radio program on “Radio 1”. They talked
about the general plan of city transport and traffic. The main topic of the
program was the new transport regulation, which will be implemented within the
Georgian-European Union association agreement.
According to the EU directives, the speed limit should be
decreased; and from this year the speed limit will be controlled via tachograph
device, and the speed of private business vehicles will be under the company’s
