Meeting at World Bank Office
On the
27th of September, the foundation "Partnership for Road Safety" was
invited to the meeting with the representatives of World Bank, Ministry of
Regional Development and Infrastructure, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Patrol
Police Department, Ministry of Health, Labour and Social Affairs, Ministry of
Education and Science, and Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development. The
main goal of the meeting was to create the action plan and strategy for road
safety in Georgia.
During
the meeting, the participants reviewed the current situation in Georgia and the
causes and consequences of road crashes. The problem, such as the difficulties
in data collection process for the general databases of road incidents, was
discussed. The participants stated the ways of solution and talked about the
future action plan. The meeting participants defined the specific activities
that will be implemented in the near future in order to solve the problem. The
foundation "Partnership for Road Safety" actively participates in this process.
The
meeting was held by World and Bank and Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional
Development.
