In 2008-2010, the Foundation implemented the project “Youth Road Safety Education” throughout the country. The project aimed at teaching road safety to the primary and elementary school children, as well as forming right attitude towards the traffic rules. The organization promoted the children’s road safety education at over 150 schools in Tbilisi and regions, distributed the tutorial books for children and teachers free of charge. The project covered more than 20, 000 children. In addition, we saw the great result and impact, such as after the project implementation, the awareness of the children about road safety, who were involved in the project, was increased with about 60-70%. This data was provided by the ACT Group (research company), who did the pre- and post-project research. The research was ordered by the foundation “Partnership for Road Safety”. After the hard work of the foundation, the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia put the lesson on the road safety in the school curriculum. Within the project, the main partner for conducting road safety lesson and increasing the children’s knowledge in that sphere was the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia.
