Regulations on Excursions

On the background of frequent accidents, new restrictions for schools are approved - safety norms will be tightened during excursions. The vehicles, hired by the educational institution or group of parents will be specially controlled.   The Ministry of Education does not deny that the standards and norms adopted from schools three years ago are not effective. According to Gela Kvashilava, every driver and vehicle that transports people must be registered in the Land Transport Agency and it has to check every vehicle and driver that carries out the excursions in accordance with the defined requirements. The implementation of this action is important, since the formally responsible body - Land Transport Agency does not have the levers to check the specific mode of transport.
