Youth Road Safety Education in Schools

The "Partnership for Road Safety" Foundation together with its Georgian and foreign partners is actively involved in a number of projects the goal of which is to cultivate road safety culture among the youth.

From November 2008, the Partnership in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia is starting a new project Youth Road Safety Education. The project is financially supported by BP Georgia.

Road safety will be taught to third and fourth grade pupils in 48 pilot schools, selected by the Ministry of Education and Science all across Georgia. Class teachers will undergo a special training and receive all necessary materials for teaching road safety prior to starting the project. The project is also supported by the Embassy of the Kingdom of Netherlands in Georgia.
