Road Safety Week and Walk in Lagodekhi

In the framework of the UN Second Road Safety Week, on the 12^th of May, the Long Short Walk was organized in Lagodekhi. The walk was implemented with the initiative of the foundation "Partnership for Road Safety". The walk was held through the central streets.
In 2013, the Road Safety Week is dedicated to the pedestrians’ rights. The goal of the campaign is "Safe Roads for All". The walk in Lagodekhi was managed with the help of the Georgian Civil Development Association. Schoolchildren, teachers, Patrol Police officers and interested citizens were involved in the walk. The participants wear the special T-shirts, and they received the presents – road safety accessories.
Within the UN Second Global Week, the walk is organized in the different cities of the world. Georgia also joined the global campaign. The walk was in Telavi, Batumi, Ninotsminda and Tbilisi.
