Road Safety Awareness Campaign in the Region of Kakheti, Georgia
The campaign “Don’t Violate the Traffic Rules” was implemented by the foundation “Partnership for Road Safety” and the Road Department of Georgia, Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure within the project “Road Safety Awareness Campaign in the Region of Kakheti, Georgia”. During the campaign, the school trainings were covered at school in the Region of Kakheti. The street actions were organized in Telavi, Gurjaani, Sagarejo; the school competition for schoolchildren and media competition for journalists were annoucde, where the winners were awarded with the special prizes. Within he project, the information booklets, educational road safety books, reflectors, stickers were distributed free of charge among the local population. A commercial video was shot, where the face of the project Paata Guliashvili (an actor, the directors of Telavi Theatre) was participated. The video was about drunk driving and overspeeding; it was shown on the Georgian TV channels. The project was implemented wit the financial support of World Bank.
