New Attempts of Safe Development on Radio “Tavisupleba”

On September 23, Gela Kvashilava, the representative of the Foundation “Partnership for Road Safety” was invited to the program “Ekho Kavkaza” on radio “Tavisupleba”; he talked about the road safety issues.   

The main topic of the program was the collaboration and coordination development of government and non-government organizations in order to improve the road safety in Georgia. The different causes of increasing road accidents were discussed, such as decrease of fines for illegal traffic behavior, ineffective law enforcement and lack of awareness and weak road safety culture of population. As the representative of the foundation mentioned most of road accidents are caused by young and inexperienced drivers, which directly shows the need of improving the traffic license issuance process.
