Children Traffic Safety Center opened in Tbilisi
The Children Traffic Safety Center reflects the real traffic situation with traffic lights, road signs, bicycles and other entertaining activities related to the road safety. The manuals on road safety were distributed among the schoolchildren. The goal of the project is to increase the awareness of children through the practical activities, trainings and lessons. The opening ceremony was attended by the representatives of Georgian and Estonian governments. The ground is available for other schools without any charge.
Partnership intends to organize different Road Safety events for children of Georgia and other countries in the future. Partnership with support school, other government, and private organizations is going to organize international children road safety competitions and events.
The Partnership for Road Safety wants to thank all involved parties in this project and we hope that this initiative will improve road safety culture in our society.
The first traffic safety center for Georgian children was opened in Tbilsi on May 16th. It is the first of the kind center in the South Caucasus region. It is arranged on the territories of the 1st Experimental School and 171th Kindergarten in Tbilisi. The project was implemented by the foundation "Partnership for Road Safety" with the collaboration of Estonian government, Tbilisi City Hall, the Ministry of Education and Science, Patrol Police, the EASST, The FIA Foundation, BP Georgia, Public Broadcasting and other government, NGOs, private organizations.
