Annual Meeting of EASST in Tbilisi

On October 7-8, the annual meeting of the British organization „Eastern Alliance for Safe and Sustainable Transport“(EASST) was held in Tbilisi, Georgia. This event has brought together members of the vast network of road safety NGOs from nine countries (Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan), which are the members of EASST, to share their latest experience, develop proposals for joint projects and discuss future strategies. The representatives of each country presented their own presentation about completed, ongoing and future project and improvement in road safety.

At the end of meeting, the reception event was organized in the evening by the International Black Sea University. The reception is aimed at promoting road safety and regional cooperation in this field and beyond. It has brought together members of the vast network of road safety NGOs from nine countries along with government officials, representatives from the development banks, other embassies and NGO sector.

EASST is a UK charity working with partner organizations in Eastern Europe and Caucasus with an excellent track record of achieving success with projects related to road safety, road policing, education and sustainable mobility.
